Archive: Weekend Wrestlers
After I moved to Beijing my Martial Arts interests shifted to wrestling. I rented a Hutong room from my wresting teacher and started to train quite seriously. Every weekend there was a get together in one of the parks where anyone could step up and take on an opponent. The whole spectacle was moderated with a lot of humor by the man in the hat. I got thrown into the ring a few times - mostly early on in my short lived wrestling career. I ended up breaking my shoulder and never returned after that.
